Rosa Riley, Secretary

I began scuba diving in 2002, through a Girl Scout program, earning my Scuba Diver certification through NAUI. In 2003, I was able to participate in Project Aquarius, a national partnership through Girl Scouts of the USA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to visit the Aquarius habitat located in Key Largo, Florida.
I joined UAS in 2016 and since that time, I have earned my Advanced Open Water (2017), Rescue Diver (2018), and Master Scuba Diver (2018) certifications along with 10 specialties through the continuing education program with UAS. I have been an American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor for the last 16 years and use my expertise to support the annual UAS Open Water class. Most recently, I earned my Divemaster certification in Fall of 2019.
I have been diving in Saba, Cozumel, Fiji, Bonaire, Belize, Florida, and the Great Lakes. Future diving goals will include eventually becoming a diving instructor and training youth divers. I work in multidisciplinary public health, currently as a program manager for an addiction advocacy nonprofit.
